Shelby Ariel Ard is a composer based in Huntington, WV with a focus on electronic and electro-acoustic music. She received her MA in Music and Allied Arts BA in Visual Arts and Music from Marshall University in 2020 and 2017, respectively.
Her piece Adding Machine was her first electroacoustic piece premiered in October 2019 at the SCI Student Composers Concert in Huntington, WV.
Inspired by Trevor Wishhart's piece Imago, she used the Apple loop Adding Machine to generate all sound material for the work.
She is also a brother in the Delta Kappa chapter of Delta Omicron - International Professional Music Fraternity.
All pieces are best listened to with stereo headphones.
